Apple officially makes Swift open source! What is Swift? Swift is a programming language introduced by Apple in June of 2014. It's designed to be fast, modern, safe and interactive. Swift was announced to be open source in WWDC of 2015, by saying that the binaries will be released for OS X, iOS and Linux by Late 2015. That promise has stayed true.
