Apple announces Maps development office in India, creating up to 4000 jobs...

As part of Tim Cook’s packed schedule during his visit to India, Apple today confirmed it’s opening a new facility in Hyderabad, that will focus on Maps development and employ up to 4,000 people. The new facility, located on the Waverock campus, will provide “a world-class, LEED-certified home for the expanding Maps team,” said the Cupertino firm.
“Apple is focused on making the best products and services in the world and we are thrilled to open this new office in Hyderabad which will focus on Maps development,” said Apple’s boss Tim Cook.
“The talent here in the local area is incredible and we are looking forward to expanding our relationships and introducing more universities and partners to our platforms as we scale our operations.”

The press release shares an interesting stat: After iOS 9 added transit directions based on a combination of trains, subways, buses and walking, this feature is currently available for more than 300 cities around the world.
Across India, Apple supports over 640,000 iOS app developer jobs and other positions related to the iOS ecosystem.
The announcement came just 24 hours after Apple promised to open a new iOS app design and development accelerator by early 2017 in Bengaluru, the home of India’s startup scene. Cook also met with executives from Indian’s top carriers to struck a strategic iPhone partnership ahead of upcoming 4G expansion in the 1.25 billion people market.

What's in Store? : March 15th Apple Event

March 15th? Has Apple given an invitation already? No. The rumors point to an event that will be held on March 15th. It will hold many announcements such as, a new iPhone 5Se, 3rd Generation iPad Air and new Apple Watch Bands. iPhone 5Se The iPhone 5Se or iPhone 5 Special Edition will be a 4 inch screen with an Apple A9 processor which is currently in the iPhone 6s. It will feature a design just like the iPhone 6, but in a smaller form factor. iPad Air 3 The iPad Air 3 rumors are now pointing to an Apple A9X processor, the same one that is in the iPad Pro. This is great news! The iPad Air 3 might just be a bit thicker and heavier than the old one, but the difference should not be noticed. New Apple Watch Bands An image of a black Apple Watch with a black Milanese loop was leaked on the Apple Website. The rumors point to Apple releasing/announcing this version of the Apple Watch.
