Apple announces new MacBook Pro




At the October 27 event, Apple announced a few new products. A couple of those were new MacBook Pros. There are 3 MacBook Pros. A 13-inch MacBook Pro, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. These join the existing 13-inch MacBook Air and 12-inch MacBook which complete the MacBook line up.

13-inch MacBook Pro without Touch Bar


This MacBook Pro includes a new design that takes inspiration from the 12-inch MacBook. It includes the new 2nd-gen Butterfly Mechanism keyboard. As a result of which, the key travel is laser than the previous generation. It includes a Force Touch trackpad that does not mechanically move but gives the sensation of it moving. This is done by the Taptic Engine which gives haptic feedback. It also has a better Retina display which is better than the previous generation.

13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

These new Macs include the same design as the 13-inch without the Touch Bar and include all the same features as it. Additionally, it has what Apple calls a 'Touch Bar'. The Touch Bar replaces the normal function row of keys on top of the keyboard. It is a touch bar that dynamically changes depending on what you are doing on the system. The keys on the touch bar can be changed and customized as per your liking in macOS.

On the right of the Touch Bar is a Touch ID button. The same Touch ID that is on iPhone. It can be used to unlock your Mac and also for Apple Pay on the web. It also acts as the power button.

Apple has started production of iPhone SE in India. Shipping later in May.

This post is taken from  9to5Mac . In the US, the  iPhone SE sells in two flavors , a 32 GB and 128 GB model for $399 and $499 respectively. Third-party Indian resellers already undercut that price point, selling iPhone SE around the $320 mark. Apple was  effectively forced into setting up domestic manufacturing  in order to launch Indian retail stores, as India laws state that companies wanting a retail presence must source at least 30% of their goods locally. According to the Wall Street Journal, government officials hope to see the India iPhone SE sell for even less in its home country. There are obviously some cost savings for Apple to take advantage of by producing domestically and local government reportedly believes Apple could sell its iPhone for as low as $220 (converted to Indian currency).
